The birth of the Royal baby yesterday, marks a third grandchild for Prince Charles, Prince William's father.
And today, the prince made an adorable statement, welcoming the little one.
“We are both so pleased at the news,” the Prince of Wales said in a statement, also referring to his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. “It is a great joy to have another grandchild, the only trouble is I don’t know how I am going to keep up with them.”
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz,” the official statement read, announcing the birth. “The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
Naturally, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have both met their younger sibling.
“George and Charlotte were with the baby for 25 minutes and were very excited to meet their new sibling,” a source close to the royal family revealed to Us Weekly. “It’s unlikely they’ll be asleep when William and Kate arrive home. They’ll be up all night, excited about their new brother.”
