Spring is just around the corner, but that doesn't mean that you can't get ahead of the trends. We take hair inspo from our fave starlets...

Slicked Back & Centre
The red-carpet trend du jour, slicked back hair is all the rage right now. It looks best with a centre parting a la Gigi and just a small dash of wet look gel - you don't want it to look too greasy.

The Ballerina Bun
From slick and sophis' to messy and undemanding, there are multiple ways to wear the ballet bun. For a red-carpet do, Vanessa Hudgens' perfect polished bun is just the ticket.
The Pixie Chop
Short and sweet, the pixie cut looks adorable on a petite face. You'll need some guys to pull this off but it will definitely be worth it. Style flat to the head for a modern-day take on the trend.

The red-carpet alternative to an up-do, pinning all of your hair to the side can be a super-flattering look. Leave a few strands loose, and curl the ends outwards for a retro vintage finish.
The Glamorous Up-Do
When a pulled-back style is too harsh but you want to look like you've made an effort, opt for a half-up, half-down look. Let short curls fall up front and use spray to keep stray ends in place.
Some girls just don't feel comfortable without a bit of volume. A great style for longer hair, a thick tong can be used to get this look, which is in between straight and wavy, with a big boost.

The Side Parting
If the straight-down-the-line centre parting does't quite do it for you, severe side partings are set to be just as hot next season. Don't believe us? Just check out Natalie.
The Low Pony
More classy than a style that sits on the top of your head, ponytails get low for 2016. We love Rosie's perfectly polished style, and how she's wrapped around some hair for a finishing touch.
We can't resist a plait to really switch things up a little in the hair department. If you've got a short 'do, wear it like a crown over your hair, while those with long locks should work a fishtail.
If you want to take years off, it's time to get down with the fringe. An instant style statement, be it blunt-cut bangs or a side-swept number, it will totally transform your look in an instant.
If you want to add a little more depth to naturally wavy hair, channel curl guru Amber Heard, who shows off her glossy voluminous locks that have us running for our curling irons.

While everyone does love volume, it seems we'll be opting for the other extreme, too. Channel Brie and arm yourself with a pair of straighteners as super-sleek hair has never been so popular.
Somewhere in between brunette and blonde, this honey hue has been garnering quite a cult celebrity following. So ditch the ombre and move into the new year with a hot new look.
The bob is a classic hairstyle that never goes out of style, but if you're scared of going short, channel JLo and opt for a lob (long bob) instead. It's feminine yet fashion-forward.
