Her blonde locks may have stayed the same, but Gwyneth’s fashion choices have had their ups and downs. We take a look at some of the best (and worst) moments that define her statement style…

Gwyneth isn’t scared of flaunting her fabulous body. She wore a monochrome panelled dress by Antonio Berardi to the Hollywood premiere of Iron Man 3 earlier this year. From the front it looks like any other gown, but when Gwyneth turned to the side she revealed see-through panels that left nothing to the imagination. Well, if you’ve got it, flaunt it!

An expectant Gwyneth could give Kim Kardashian a few tips on maternity style as she sure knew how to get it right during her two pregnancies! She wore this layered gown by Stella McCartney just before she was about to pop with daughter Apple. Although the dress is a bit too low-cut, the draping of the dress hides Gwynnie’s bump nicely.

This gown became one of her most talked about looks. The actress is a huge fan of nude tones as they flatter her pale skin, and she looked absolutely stunning in this figure-hugging peach gown by Zac Posen. At the time critics were divided on this simple ensemble, but looking back now we think it was one of her most stylish red carpet moments.

The Caped Crusader
Never one to be afraid of making a statement, Gwyneth arrived on the red carpet in 2012 in this white caped gown by Tom Ford. At the time the cape was only just starting to make its high-fashion comeback so Gwynnie’s outfit choice divided the style critics, but she managed to pull it off as always, wearing the look with
her typical confidence.

It may get chilly in London during the winter months but there was no need for the fur jacket that Gwyneth wore on the red carpet at the London Film Festival in 2008. The black draping dress that she wears underneath looks as though it might be slightly stylish, but it’s hidden behind the heavy fur shrug. This was not a great look for the actress!

Gwyneth wore this stunning purple minidress by fellow celeb and fashionista Victoria Beckham to the opening of a California fitness studio, owned by best friend and personal trainer Tracy Anderson, earlier this year. The actress paired the dress with fab neon orange heels, and this look has since become one of her most iconic outfits. We love it!

We’re not convinced by the short suit that Gwyneth chose to wear to the premiere of Iron Man 2. The cream two-piece by Giorgio Armani was a strange choice for the actress, who usually opts for a much more glamorous look. She paired the duo with black, bulky heels that didn’t go at all. Perhaps she was just trying to keep up with the latest trends?

Pretty in Pink
Who could forget the pink, blancmange-like frou-frou gown that Gwyneth wore to accept her Oscar for Best Actress in 1999? Gwynnie’s extremely long acceptance speech somewhat overshadowed her fairy tale frock, but the OTT dress sure did leave a lasting memory in our minds! We wonder whether she’s ever regretted this ensemble?
We almost can’t remember the days when Gwyneth wore casual clothes! Here she was snapped supporting her husband Chris Martin at Glastonbury back in 2005. She somehow managed to look rather chic in her blue jeans, white vest and lace-up wellies, upgrading the look with a stylish scarf. We wish we could look that fab after a few days’ camping!
