Photo Exhibitions Celebrate Qatar in Leadup to National Day
Qatar's awe-inspiring fireworks shows feature in the Doha Marriott exhibition

With its sweeping desert landscapes and bold futuristic city skyline, Qatar is a photographer’s dream location.

So, it’s not surprising that, in celebration of Qatar National Day on 18 December, the Qatar Photographic Society is showing off the talents of its members at not one but two exhibitions in Doha.

The ‘Qatar through your eyes’ exhibition in the lobby of the Doha Marriott Hotel showcases some of the country’s most beautiful and dramatic settings, including a stunning birds’ eye view over the Museum of Islamic Art, celebratory fireworks, an iconic view of the unique Torch tower and a crisp night shot of skyscrapers mirrored in the water of West Bay Lagoon.

A series of landscapes and cityscapes will also go on show at the Agora restaurant at the Grand Heritage Doha Hotel and Spa, near Villaggio Mall and Aspire Zone, from 8 to 20 December, under the similar theme of ‘Qatar through the eyes of its people’.

The photographic society, which has around 650 members, frequently organizes exhibitions, seminars, workshops and competitions to encourage the love of the art in Qatar.
