P&C by Sergi Arola, Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi
It’s tapas – but not as you know it. With two Michelin stars up Chef Sergi Arola’s pristine white sleeve, it’s no wonder that the tapas at P&C is anything but traditional. The patatas bravas have had a modern makeover, served as individual bites, with the bravas sauce encased in the potato shell. Only once you pop the delight in your mouth, do the real Spanish flavours burst into action.
If you are searching for picture-perfect views then look no further. Standing on the banks of Maqta Creek, the restaurant’s lantern-lit terrace makes the most of the fabulous views – overlooking the illuminated Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, just across the water.
Not one for the kids. With low lighting, Latin jazz and a glamorous monochrome colour palette, this is definitely a restaurant for the grown-ups – perfect for an intimate dinner with friends.
Continue the party into the wee hours. The late-night rooftop bar offers an array of quirky concoctions, including the Turkish Bazar, which is infused with cardamom, figs and Arabica beans, served in a Turkish coffee pot.
