The only thing more attractive than a hot, single, rugby-playing model, is a hot, single, rugby-playing model who cooks! For half-Lebanese, half-Dutch Paul, who grew up in the emirate, the full complement of assets has led to widespread opportunities that have made him something of a regional celebrity. In the last year alone, his good looks and fit physique have afforded him a plethora of modelling jobs for several fashion and lifestyle campaigns, a leading role in a television commercial for Russian retail giant O’Stin, and he’s set to host and present some major live events throughout the region. However, the experience of being at ease in front of the camera proved to be his biggest asset in 2013, when he decided to pursue his aspirations of becoming a TV chef, launching his online cooking show This Dude Knows Food.

Having trained as a chef and completing a five-month Cordon Bleu diploma at the Tante Marie Culinary Academy in the UK and practical work experience at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Yotam Ottolenghi’s Nopi in London, Paul wanted to challenge the perception that healthy food is boring. With a personal intolerance to gluten and dairy, Paul devised a six-part series of his own recipes, divided into two-minute segments of healthy yet indulgent concoctions that can be prepared at home. His talents were soon recognised internationally and this January Paul made his TV debut on UK hit TV show This Morning as their newest resident chef.
