Listen up shoppers, parking at Dubai Marina Mall is going to be paid starting July 21.

Parking at this mall has been free until now, but the change will take effect after the 20-day trial running from July 1 to July 20. The trial period is to help visitors get the hang of it.

The scheme has been introduced "to improve customer experience for mall shoppers," said Emaar Properties, the developer of the mall, on Monday.

The parking fees is the same as that of the Mall of the Emirates, which was introduced last year. The first three hours are free, and then Dhs20 will be charged per hour. So that means a 5-hour stay will cost you Dhs40.

The good news is that the parking will remain free on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays.

And if you’re going to Dubai Marina Mall to watch a movie at Reel Cinemas, don’t worry. You get an extra two hours with the initial three hours of free parking if you validate your ticket.
