P Diddy is receiving treatment for ''multiple injuries'' following his car crash on 24 October
The 42-year-old rapper - whose real name is Sean Combs - hurt his neck, ribs and collarbone when his chauffeur-driven Cadillac Escalade was crushed in an accident involving a Lexus RX car outside the Beverly Hills hotel in California, and he has thanked all of his fans for their support following the incident.
In a statement released to TMZ, his representative said: ''Sean Combs sustained multiple injuries in yesterday's car accident including to his neck, ribs and collarbone. He is currently receiving treatment for these injuries from his physicians and would like to thank all of his fans for the outpouring of support that he has received since the accident.''
Diddy took to his Twitter account earlier on 25 October to describe the crash - which left the front of his car crushed and undriveable with the windscreen smashed and the airbags all activated - as a ''close one''.
An ambulance arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, but the rapper was reportedly overheard telling police he would ''seek his own medical attention''.
He was spotted lying on the ground following the crash and while his driver and fellow passenger, who is believed to have been record boss Andre Hurrell, were not taken to hospital, the driver of the Lexus was said to have received unspecified injuries and taken to hospital.
It is unclear who was at fault for the incident, which occurred at the Sunset Boulevard entrance to the hotel.
