Former Vogue Editor-in-Chief Andre Leon Talley honoured his late friend and designer Oscar de la Renta with a special exhibition at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The exhibit of 50 original looks that span across de la Renta’s career has cultural as well as personal significance.

With dresses worn by Sarah Jessica Parker, Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé on show, this exhibit is a must-visit on our list. Much of the exhibit features personal items which have been lifted directly out for the closets of de la Renta’s friends and family - his wife Annette loaned from two separate Met Galas as well as the coat and dress she wore to her daughter’s wedding. Even Anna Wintour loaned an Oscar de la Renta for Balmain sable collared coat and silk flamenco skirt to the exhibition.

The exhibit, which spans three rooms, not only remembers de la Renta’s expansive career but also looks at each dresses’ personal significance and the memories of Vogue covers and red carpet looks.

The Oscar de la Renta: His Legendary World of Style is on view until May 3.
