Meghan Markle has been branded a 'control freak' for her latest move at Wimbledon
The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon this week, to support her gal pal, Serena Williams. Unfortunately, all did not go well with Meghan’s orders, her security and the public present in the court.
The Duchess is big on privacy and having her own space but this reality isn’t taken well by the public. According to sources, Meghan’s security were on the lookout for anyone attempting to take snaps of the royal as she sat in the Royal Box. Her security was warning the public not to take pictures of her as she wanted to ‘engage with the people and not with phones.’
Girl, what even?
This led to an extremely awkward situation when one of Meghan’s bodyguard accused a man of clicking a picture of Meghan and asked him to stop, when in reality he was only taking a selfie of himself and the tennis court.
…….a w k w a r d.
This has gotten people on twitter talking, and well, mostly slamming the former actress for her childish behaviour.
This is getting silly now. The royals don't want privacy, they want a private life in public, and no one is entitled to that https://t.co/7Sq2DPPhaL— Camilla Long (@camillalong) July 9, 2019
Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan is NOT having this
It’s absurd for Ms Markle to demand privacy as she sits in the royal box on a publicly-funded jolly with her mates... https://t.co/vcaymV3dyt— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 9, 2019
I think it more likely no one was taking photos, or even interested in her. So she demanded people stop taking photos, in order to make herself seem important. She isn't.— Lynne B (@LynneBailey) July 9, 2019
