According to a report in Gulf News, the iconic Sana Building in Al Karama will be demolished to make room for a new twin tower.
Reportedly, the almost 30-year-old building will be demolished by this month-end. The new project that will replace the landmark building will be a 35-storey twin tower with a shopping centre on the ground floor, the report added.
The building got its name thanks to the Sana fashion store located in its premises. The traffic signal at the junction next to the building is famously called the ‘Sana Signal’ and over the years it has become one of the busiest spots in the city. We wonder what the signal will be called now!
