Actress Olivia Munn has blasted tabloid reports suggesting she is dating newly-separated Justin Theroux.
The X-Men: Apocalypse star took to Instagram on Friday to share a text message from her publicist, alerting her to a forthcoming report claiming she is dating the actor, who recently announced his split from wife Jennifer Aniston.
"In Touch is preparing a story about Olivia Munn and Justin Theroux," read her publicist's text. "Sources tell In Touch Olivia and Justin are growing close together and they are heading towards a romance."
Responding to the gossip, Olivia told her representative, "Oh my god. That is so stupid," only to learn the tabloid's editors are planning to publish the unfounded story regardless of any statement she may provide.
Olivia then shared a note to her followers to try and get ahead of the article spreading false news.
"Since they said they're running that story even if we said it's 100 million percent not true, I thought I'd just let you guys know on my own that it's not," she wrote in a follow-up post on her Instagram Story timeline.
"Dear Tabloids, Please stop matching me with my friends' exes," she added. "No disrespect to people who do date their friends' exes, that's just not my style."
Her plea to magazine editors comes weeks after Munn slammed rumours alleging she was dating her friend Anna Faris' estranged husband Chris Pratt.
Olivia decided to contact Anna directly to shut down the claims, and later shared the text exchange online.
Her message read: "Hey there! Sooo... I would never respond to random tabloid stories, but since we know each other I wanted to reach out to you personally to tell you the story about me and Chris dating has 0% truth.
"I'm sure you already know it's not true, or maybe didn't care either way, but I just wanted to reach out personally to tell you it's not true."
"Oh my god - this crazy town is so ****ing crazy - you are so sweet to text - I love you...," read Anna's response.
Munn has been single since parting ways with American football star Aaron Rodgers in early 2017 after three years together.
