I Can't Get Enough of These Apps
I talk through some of my favourite apps
Hi, I’m Tala, and I’m an app junkie. When you find the right apps, they can really make your life so much easier. I use an app when choosing my flight dates, my plane seats, when ticking off a travel packing list, and journaling, too. I’ll be sharing quite a bit this year in Ahlan!, so make sure to pick up a copy every week. And if there’s something you’d like me to discuss or expand on, tweet me @myfashdiary! This week, I’m highlighting a few of my fave beauty apps…
If you know me, you’ll know that I’m obsessed with GuavaPass. If you’ve not heard of it yet, it’s an app where you pay a monthly rate of Dhs449 and get to workout in over 55 studios around Dubai. The only catch is that you can’t take more than three classes per venue per month. Using Guavapass has made me get to know the city a lot more because I’m in a different studio every day. I could do boxing one day, a yoga session the day after, and mix them up with barre, CrossFit and pole exercise. I’m working on a GuavaPass Guide that will include my favourite classes on myfashdiary.com, so keep an eye out for that!
I always tend to remember making my beauty appointments either too early in the morning or too late at night, so if you’re like me, I highly recommend Beem, which is ideal for those who hit the salon regularly. All you have to do is choose your place and your service, and your appointment is booked using the app, making it so much simpler. The app features many of the city’s popular salons including SOH, The Nail Spa, Marquee and Belle Femme.
Even though Vaniday features salons, including Pastels, I like to use it to book my spa treatments or as gifts for friends – there’s nothing better than letting your friend choose their own spa treatment! I’ve discovered some great spots for reflexology through the app and website, vaniday.ae, and they also have regular offers, which is a plus.
