No Social Networks for Daniel Craig
Actor Daniel Craig refuses to join social networking websites because he says no one should share everything about their life online.
The James Bond star says he would never sign up to Facebook or Twitter to tell all about his private affairs – and he's bemused by those who post mundane details about their lives on the internet.
“I am not (on Facebook). And I'm not on Twitter either...,” he told Britain's Seven magazine. “‘Woke up this morning, had an egg’? What relevance is that to anyone? Social networking? Just call each other up and go (out together).
“There's some talk of a new class-system - that in future the world will be divided between those who ‘get’ social networking and those who don’t,” he added. “I’m really not bothered. But I hope the generations to come learn to be a little bit cynical and learn how to mess it up a bit.”
The actor revealed that he sometimes reads about himself online – but logs off whenever he comes across harsh criticism: “The truth is that I mistakenly go online occasionally and Google my name...
And, oh man, the hating on the internet... It's like there's a bunch of sociopaths out there who want to go out and rip you to pieces.”
