No Celebrity Big Brother for Lindsay Lohan
It could have been the logical next step in Lindsay Lohan’s melodramatic life – the troubled star was reportedly in talks to join the cast of Britain's Celebrity Big Brother reality TV show. Now, a representative
for LiLo has dismissed the rumours, saying that the actress has no intention of entering the Big Brother house.
told E! Online, "Lindsay is not doing Big Brother."
The story of Lindsay being on Celebrity Big Brother started doing the rounds after editors at the Daily Mail claimed that she had met with the show's producers for discussions.
If she had agreed, LL would have followed in the footsteps of American Pie star Tara Reid, who appeared on the show this year. Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty had also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, and gone on to win the show.
The next season of the show is scheduled to start shooting in January 2012, and there had been a buzz that Lindsay, who is currently serving community service in LA for a 2011 probation violation, would work around this. As part of the terms of the service, Lindsay is not allowed to leave the state of California without her probation officer's approval.
A Celebrity Big Brother source had told the Daily Mail, "We hope that the courts will make a special allowance in this case. There aren’t many more controlled environments than the Big Brother house."
In November 2011, LA County judge Stephanie Sautner ruled that Lindsay would be sentenced to jail time if she didn't complete 12 days of community service at the LA county morgue and attend four psychotherapy sessions before 14 December 2011.
If she agrees, she will be required to spend an additional 12 days at the morgue and attend four more psychotherapy sessions by 17 January 2012.
