No. 57 Boutique Café, Al Bateen Harbour, Abu Dhabi
This is casual dining at its best. Open and airy, the restaurant is drowned in light, making it the perfect lunch spot. Whites, blacks and greys are complemented by handmade accents for a homely yet refined experience.
If it’s sophisticated comfort food you’re after, then look no further. The international menu includes all the favourite fare of its Emirati founders with signature dishes such as spicy tuna on crispy rice and lobster linguine.
Save room and be wowed over dessert. With so many mouth-watering options, it will be a difficult choice to make, but the No. 57 signature “ermahgerd” of sweet toffee crumble, cream and roasted marshmallows is not to be missed. If you have room for more, the toffee skillet cookie is rumoured to be the best in town!
Prepare to be surprised and amazed. Elements of discovery have been woven into both the menu and the restaurant’s interior. Not to say too much, but keep an eye out for the secret dining room hidden behind a sliding door. Even the café location is somewhat unexpected, and the active construction site next door adds a certain je ne sais quoi.
