Nike has done something no major sporting company has, it has created a hijab specifially designed for sports!

Working with female muslim athletes, the hijab took one year to design. It features a lightweight breathable fabric, called Nike Pro mesh, and is stretchy to allow increaed range of motion.

The feature that really proves Nike spent quite some time developing the product, is the back of the neck area. It is elongated, allowing for it to be tucked into a woman's shirt, and is made of fluff threads, to eliminate the rubbing and irritation that occurs when an athlete sweats.

UAE based athletes have sung praises of the product, including figure skater Zahra Lari.

"I was thrilled and a bit emotional to see Nike prototyping a hijab, but I've tried so many different hijabs for performance, and with how fast I spin on the ice and in training, few of them actually work for me. But once I put it on and took it for a spin on the ice, I was blown away by the fit and light weight," she said.

We're so glad Nike has developed this product, now women in hijab can work out with ease and comfort!
