Nicollette Sheridan Loses it in Court!
Nicollette Sheridan and her lawyer asked for a moment to cool down during her lengthy court trial, but her wish was not granted. Instead, the former Desperate Housewives actress, who is suing series creator Marc Cherry and Touchstone Television Productions for wrongful termination and battery, explained how her boss assaulted her in 2008.
Red-faced and teary-eyed, she told jurors that he “forcefully” smacked her on the head and said, “It was unfathomable to me that I had just been hit by my boss.” The actress, who played sexy real estate agent Edie Britt on the show, claimed that complaints about her lines caused her character to get the axe and her lawyers said she’s missed out on Dhs22million because of it! Wrongfully dismissed and a smack on the head as well – sounds terrible! But could it all be fabricated?
Cherry’s never been accused of violence before and Nicollette’s famous castmates never complained about him. In fact, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, James Denton, Marcia Cross and Neal McDonough are all planning to testify on behalf of Cherry. Doesn’t sound good for Nic, who also failed to file a police report after the incident. Cherry denies hitting her, saying he just tapped her lightly to illustrate a scene where she hit her on-screen hubby with a mag. And we thought all the drama happened on Wisteria Lane!
