If you take Dubai's Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road regularly, read this!
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the General HQ of Dubai Police have reduced the speed limit on both these roads from 120 km/h to 110 km/h starting today Sunday, October 15. The decision was made last month in an effort to reduce casualties and accidents on these two roads.

According to Khaleej Times, there were 99 accidents resulting in six fatalities and 78 injuries on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road in the first half of this year alone!
Emirates Road was the scene of 40 accidents during the first half of this year, resulting in 10 fatalities and 75 injuries.
The number of accidents on these two roads are expected to decrease following the change in speed limits, we really hope they do!
