National Day In Dubai
Bikers, Porsche drivers and camels joined forces as Dubai partied to celebrate the 41st UAE National Day last night at Burj Khalifa.
The National reported, "Bikers from the Black
Eagles motorcycle club started the parade, noisily revving their
Harley-Davidsons on the boulevard that was cordoned off from traffic for the
day. They were followed by
Emiratis driving Porches in the colours of the flag, and other luxury cars in
the shadow of the Burj Khalifa."
But it wasn't all about the modern. Flagbearers on horseback joined the parade alongside a selection of camels to give the party a truly traditional twist. There was also a cardboard cut out of the Dubai Metro to represent one of the city's greatest achievements.
