Movie Review: Tamara Drewe
Tamara Drewe

Starring: Gemma Arterton and Dominic Cooper

Based on the popular comic strip by Posy Simmonds, Tamara Drewe tells the delightfully enjoyable tale of a newspaper writer who returns to her quiet hometown in the hopes of selling her deceased mother’s house. Once the town’s ugly duckling with an unsightly nose and not much to detract from it, Tamara (Arterton) returns to the uneventful village of Ewedown with a new and improved  look (thanks to a little plastic surgery) that turns everything upside down, one eager man at a time. At once sultry and likeably silly, Tamara lures you in with the same charm she uses on the town’s male residents and it’s hard not to want to see more and more of her comical escapades.
