Movie Review: Hugo
Starring: Asa Butterfield, Chloë Moretz and Christopher Lee
I heard great things about this movie and when a flick is directed by Martin Scorsese you know it’s going to be good! Based in the Thirties in Paris, we follow an orphan who lives in the walls of a train station – seriously, whoever thought living in a train station could be so exciting! – but somehow Scorsese makes it happen.
Hugo has picked up a bunch of awards since its release, including Oscars for Cinematography, Art Direction, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and Visual Effects, not to mention a nomination for Best Picture. And it deserves them all. Take the right side of your brain with you to the cinema because you’ll need to be creative to fully appreciate this one.
