Movie Review: Beasts of the Southern Wild
Movie of the week

Starring: Quvenzhane Wallis, Dwight Henry, Lowell Landes
Beasts of the Southern Wild is a beautiful fantasy drama about a five year-old trying to save her father as she battles the wild forces of nature in Louisiana.
Quvenzhane Wallis became the youngest Best Actress nominee in history for this movie at the Oscars, where the film was up for four gongs. She plays Hushpuppy Doucet who fights her way through a storm in a quest to find her mother who could help her care for her dying dad. It’s a beautiful journey that will stay with you long after the movie has ended. It’s one that you can definitely take your kids to see too.
