Miley Cyrus Takes on Donald Trump

28 Mar 2016

The singer is the latest celebrity to criticise the Presidential candidate

Donald Trump is playing dirty now that things are getting heated in the presidential race. The Republican Presidential candidate took to Twitter to attack fellow White House hopeful Ted Cruz. He did so by retweeting a photo that compares Heidi Cruz with Trump's own wife, Melania. The text on the photo reads, "No need to 'spill the beans' the images are worth a thousand words."

Trump has been threatening to "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife on social media, but has given no indication as to what his revelations are about.

Singer Miley Cyrus took note of the exchange, and has waded into the political fray, calling the controversial billionaire entrepreneur out for being sexist.

Posting a screenshot of an article about Trump and the image he retweeted, she wrote: "Trump can't stop won't stop saying stupid a** sexist s**t!!!! Comparing two women! Are you f**king kidding! We will not allow you to destroy everything we have overcome as women! I feel as though we are stronger than ever as a unit."

The We Can't Stop hitmaker went on to say:"We have an understanding and respect for one another (more than Trump can say about anyone, his fellow candidates, other races and religions, other public figures, just HUMAN BEINGS in general, and of course animals! Check out his family hunting photos!!!!)

This isn't the first time that Miley has referenced Trump's family hunting photos. The singer, who was recently announced as a new judge on the next series of The Voice, criticised Trump earlier this month, when she posted a photo on Instagram of the Republican candidate's two sons with the dead carcass of a leopard they had shot on a hunting trip. She captioned the shot, "F**k u."

"It's absolute insanity that this has gone on this long and far! Wake me up from this nightmare someone PLEASE!" she ended her rant saying.

Trump has clearly stepped on some influential toes on his campagin as Presidential hopeful.
