Miley Cyrus had an amazing concert that delighted fans at the world-famous Glastonbury music festival last month. But the singer’s journey to the UK was anything but amazing and smooth. While they ultimately reached their destination in time, the ride was bumpy to say the least.
"Our plane tried to land twice and had to come back up because there were other planes in our way," Miley's sister Brandi Cyrus explained during the latest episode of her podcast, Your Favourite Thing with co-host Wells Adams. "Out of nowhere, as we're landing, we swoop back up and like bang to the left and turn. It feels crazy.”
This horrifying incident caused Miley and their mom, Tish Cyrus to “lose their minds” which caused the flight to get a bit dramatic. “(My mum and sister are) very nervous fliers, and when they get nervous they just feed off of each other, and just make each other more nervous.”
"And even though I'm scared, I was like, 'Someone has to be level headed here'… so, Miley's in my lap, my mom's holding my hand across the aisle... and nobody is telling us what's going on." Brandi recalled.
After a long five minutes, the plane returns to altitude and the crew finally tells them that there’s no need to panic but another plane was in their lane in the sky and they were going to hit them.
After circling the runway for 10 minutes, the plane then attempted to descend again but, according to Brandi, "the same frickin' thing happened".
"My mum starts crying and goes, 'If we die, Noah is gonna be alone' and freaking out. I'm trying to hold it together for everybody," Brandi sighed. "It was really crazy."
The fact that Miley still managed to perform after the petrifying incident that shook her to the core proves what a rockstar she is!
