Milano Fashion Week

Lavish lines translate into all things rich

Milan Fashion Week wraps tomorrow signaling the end to the start of something special. The Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 collections have been well worth the wait. High Society, seems to be the tone on the catwalks in Milan – ballet inspired styles, furs, luxe hippie, rich robes, caped princesses. The introduction of the high life has been welcomed after the world of fashion suffered in the hands of the economy last year.

But it seems we’re back on track and drapping along just fine. Some of the top contenders from the week include Dolce Gabbana and their uber swish tailoring, Roberto Cavalli with dollops of fur, Versus in modern day ballet mode and Marni with luxe hippie prints.

With one day left to go, Milan Fashion Week has toned up the trends, and layered on the lifestyle-inspired makes. Now all we have to do is wait months, for the collections to come our way. But whose complaining when it is looking this good so far.
