Just days after watching him on epic UK fundraiser, Comic Relief, which he hosted alongside fellow funnyman Rob Brydon, we were thrilled to hear Michael McIntyre’s taking to the stage in Dubai. The 37 year-old truly is the rock star of comedians. His Live & Laughing DVD became the fastest-selling debut release from a stand-up in history. Plus, his 2012 tour made him the world’s most successful comic, ringing the tills to the tune of 66 million dirhams and making 700,000 people laugh.
Not bad considering he once admitted he used to be in masses of debt and was forced to use his microwave as a dinner table. These days he’s laughing all the way to the bank, partly thanks to his stint as a judge on TV talent show Britain’s Got Talent as a sidekick to Simon Cowell, David Hasselhoff and Amanda Holden, as well as his own show, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. The dad-of-two also has an autobiography out, Life & Laughing.
