Celebrating art that creates a connection, the Abraaj Capital
Art Prize (ACAP) awards artists or curators for proposals of art yet to be
created with the support they need to be carried through. 2012 saw the fifth
edition of this prestigious prize, which brings together artists from not only
the Middle East and North Africa but also from South Africa. Now it's time to
meet the winners. Vartan Avakian from Lebanon, Iman Issa from Egypt,
Huma Mulji from Pakistan, Hrair Sarkissian from Syria and Rayyane Tabet from
Lebanon will receive support from Abraaj Capital for their ambitious projects.

Selected by a
committee that is composed of the cream of the art community in Dubai, the artists
will work with renowned guest curator Murtaza Vali to achieve their proposals
in time for their exhibition at Art Dubai in March 2013.

Think you
have what it takes to win? You can apply online for the sixth edition starting this
October!

INFO: Application for sixth edition open from 1
