Product: Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Tint
Stockists: Boots and other beauty stores
We say: Like a big felt tip pen for the lips, this tint in a tube is drawn onto your pout – it doesn’t have the longevity of Max Factor’s Lipfinity Colour (what does?!), but it stays put for a few hours at least. Application can be a bit patchy, especially if your lips aren’t in tip-top condition, so make sure you exfoliate and moisturise prior to application. For more even coverage, allow to dry and then apply another layer until desired depth of colour and coverage is achieved.
We love that the matte colour looks vintage, and it doesn’t leave unsightly rings around cups and glasses like some lipsticks do. You could even wear it to the gym if you were that way inclined (and, yes, we know some of you are!).
There are 10 tints to choose from and the Berry Burst gets our recommendation.
They say: “The innovative pen benefits from a fine applicator tip to precisely contour the lip lines and the flat side of the applicator can be used to colour the fleshier parts. With the new lightweight water-based formula, the dye simply melts into the upper layers of the lips instead of just coating the outside layer, leaving your lips flushed with matte lightweight, kiss-proof colour.
Max Factor’s Arabian Creative Director Joelle Mardinian says, ‘Max Factor’s Lipfinity Lip Tint is my must-have lip innovation... you can wear it alone, or under lip balm or clear gloss.’ While Max Factor’s Global Creative Design Director, Pat McGrath has selected Berry Burst as the hero shade of the collection. She says, ‘This season’s high voltage lips look best in matte; Max Factor’s Lipfinity Lip Tint’s fruity stains epitomise the catwalk look and give the lips a boost of colour that brighten the face and won’t transfe.’”
