Mary Ann Walker
Mary Ann Walker sees her home as a “collection of things” she loves. All around her stunning villa are curios, pictures and furniture that “create wonderful memories”. While the result is eclectic, Mary Ann is conscious that “there always has to be a style plan”.
“My sitting room was inspired by my lovely tulip print given to me by friends when we left Holland after living there for five years. The colours and the frame are beautiful; it really inspired my whole room. My husband then bought me an antique plate with hand-painted tulips on it, and these items inspired the fabric for my chairs, and so it goes on,” says Mary Ann.
But it is the small items that are most cherished in her home. “I have a collection of Crown Derby china birds and animals that have all been presents from my family throughout the years. I just love them,” she says.
