This Thursday, Yas Waterworld is doing the unthinkable and taking part in The World’s Largest Swim Lesson (#WLSL). Crazy!
The Emirati-themed waterpark is the official host location for the WLSL 2017 along with 600 locations worldwide, all hoping to spread awareness of how swimming lessons can help save lives.
In a study conducted by WLSL, it was discovered that formal swimming lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 per cent among children ages 1 to 4. Yet many children still do not receive any types of formal swimming lessons or water safety training.
“Safety is in our top priorities, and we feel we have a duty to take part in educating children and parents about the importance of water safety,” said Bianca Sammut, General Manager of Yas Waterworld.
So, why not combine a fun family day out with doing good at the WLSL event this Thursday! Help spread awareness of the importance of water safety in saving lives. And don’t worry if you’re not a confident swimmer, no swimming experience is needed to participate. You'll be a water baby in no time.
