Luchador takes its name from Mexico’s famed lucha libra wrestlers. Giant murals of wrestling masks adorn this Mexican eaterie, along with Aztec motifs, hanging wooden lights and brightly coloured woven chairs.
The terraces boast some unbeatable views. The al fresco bar overlooks the Burj Al Arab and Dubai skyline beyond, while the more private lounge area is the perfect spot to watch the sun set over Atlantis The Palm.
The quirky cantina brings Mexico City’s vibrant food culture to life. Many ingredients are brought over direct from Mexico to ensure every last detail is as authentic as possible.
Tacos aren’t just for Tuesdays. At Luchador, there’s 12 different varieties to choose from. Our faves are the Huitlacoche, with corn truffle, mixed mushrooms, truffle oil, rosemary mayo and crispy zucchini, and the Gringa #de Trompo, with octopus, chorizo, smokey mayonnaise and pico de gallo.
Try the tres leches. At Luchador, this traditional three-milk cake is served with berries, meringue and coconut ice cream.
The pescado frito – a whole fried hammour, served with pickled jalapenos, salad, tortillas and Mexican rice.
