Love Island's Sherif Lanre has officially left the villa for 'breaking rules'
Love Island's twenty-year-old, Sherif Lanre has left the villa after only nine days on the ITV's series launch due to breaking villa rules.
The former chef and semi-pro rugby player made his exit after a mutual agreement between him and the show's producers. "I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa," he shared in a statement.
We still don't know exactly what kind of behaviour might have led to his early exit. But, he did confess to exhibiting "poor judgement." He went on to say, "I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from."
When Sherif first made his debut on the show, he made it clear that his job was to bring 'up' the mood on the island. "I feel like if you're down and around me, you'll end up being a bit more upbeat," he said at the start of this years' series. He described himself as "cheeky, confident, and pretty flamboyant."
Sherif had been romantically linked to brunette, Anna Vikali during his short but eventful stay - she's now single and ready to mingle - and we can't wait to see what happens next!
Love Island continues to air on ITV2.
