Following hot in the fashionable footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld who chose to show his Resort 2017 collection for Chanel in Cuba, Nicolas Ghesquière opted for the similarly tropical Rio de Janerio as the setting for the mid-season’s Louis Vuitton show. Transforming the Niteròi Contemporary Art Museum into an impressive show space with an expansive outdoor plaza and scattered with fun multi-coloured stools, the house attracted its regular slew of models and celebrities, including campaign stars Alicia Vikander and Jaden Smith who sat front row alongside Catherine Deneuve, Zendaya and Alessandra Ambrosio.

When it came to the clothes, Ghesquière looked to his trusty longtime references for inspiration, including sport detailing, cropped silhouettes and bold graphics, all with a small touch of Brazilian flair thrown in. But the star of the show? It had to be the amazing LV boombox bag which has shot straight to the top of our lust-have list for the season.
