London’s Restaurant of the Year Set to Make its Dubai Debut
Hailed restaurant of the year at London's 2014 Lifestyle Awards, Peruvian restaurant Coya is set to open the doors of its Dubai counterpart at the Four Seasons Resort on Jumeirah Beach by the end of this year. A sister property to Dubai hotspots La Petite Maison and Zuma, it's fair to expect that this new and dynamic restaurant showcasing the flavours of South America are expected to become as much part of the city's fabric as its preceding French and Japanese contemporaries.
Befitting the cultural melting pot that is Dubai, Coya intends to throw another multidimensional, multisensory and truly unique epicurean delight into the mix by acting as a gateway to the Andes, from the moment you set foot in the lobby, which is adorned with a chandelier accented with antique Incan gilding. Guests will then be welcomed to the mud-'botija'-lined walls of the bar boasting authentic, rustic flair, before finally being led to the massive two-part restaurant which offers the option of al fresco dining on its vast terrace.
Wondering what to expect from Peruvian cuisine? Think classic ceviche (popular diced seafood dish), tiraditos (sliced raw fish), to more hearty anticuchos (grilled skewers of fish, meat and vegetables), which will leave you satisfied without weighing you down, which is just as well, as no trip to this magnificent eatery would be complete without venturing into the fun, buzzing, fully-stocked 'Pisco' bar and lounge. The extensive offerings include the largest infused selection with over 25 homemade infusions of this traditional regional tipple in a variety of flavours such as mango, pineapple, pear, strawberry, passion fruit and raspberry. We can't wait till the launch!
