SURPRISE!!! I’ve been trying to contain this excitement for a loooong time while this has been in the works! I am beyond excited to be home again, back with my girl ...and into her 30’s #bringbackbutterflyclips #lizziemcguire #thisiswhatdreamsaremadeof #lizzieforpresident #DisneyPlus #D23Expo . . . . . . Also, If you needed yet another reason to get Disney+ ....the #lizziemcguiremovie will be living there!
“The conversations have gone on for a couple of years and the timing just didn’t seem right and now Lizzie is turning 30. For me, she was everybody’s best friend and she was there for us... entering your 30s is a really big deal," the 31-year-old told the outlet.
The original series aired from 2001 to 2004. It followed 13-year-old Lizzie as she tackled all the problems of being a school kid.
Disney even released a film in 2003, titled The Lizzie McGuire Movie.
The new show will follow 30-year-old Lizzie living in New York and working as an apprentice to an interior decorator.
