Influencers In The UAE Are Going To Be Cracked Down On Very Soon With Some Serious Fines
If you’re a social media influencer, you better make sure to get your influencer licence ASAP.
The National Media Council is on the hunt for unlicensed influencers, and says it will be cracking down. Last year the NMC made an e-media licence mandatory for all paid social media influencers in the Emirates that costs Dhs 15,000.
If any paid influencer is operating without a license, they will be imposed with a Dhs5000 fine with the risk of their account being shut down.
The manager of the Media Licensing Department, Nasser Al Tamimi said they are actively on the lookout for paid influencers without a licenses and they will warn and fine the licenseless influencers.
