Lisa Scott Lee: When I Met John Travolta!
When I met John Travolta…
Rumours of a Hollywood star attending the launch of the new Breitling Emergency watch were well founded, and what an entrance he made! A cool-looking John Travolta flew over the lake at The Address Montgomerie golf course in a helicopter, landing to a chorus of gasps from the audience. He then jumped onto a Jet Ski and sped across the lake before riding a motorbike towards the stage – very James Bond! When I asked for a photo, his security staff said “no”, but when John said “yes”, I thought be cool. That went out of the window when tunes from Grease started playing in my head and I said to John, “I’m a singer and you’re an inspiration.” Why, Lisa, why?! My cheesy line worked, though. I was proud of my hubby Johnny, who choreographed the show.
When I met John Travolta I was wearing my lovely new sparkly Ted Baker jumper. It has some fab sweaters with embellished collars in stores this season – a winter must!
I watched comedian Kevin Bridges at his sold out show, and he's a huge Steps fan! He even showed me some of his Tragedy moves as proof.
Lisa Scott-Lee rose to fame as part of the British pop group Steps. When she moved to Dubai and taught us the moves to her most iconic club track, Tragedy, we couldn’t believe our luck, so we asked her to stick around and become our resident celebrity columnist!
