Stunning beach views!
Last month, my husband Johnny surprised the kids and me with a family trip away to Le Méridien Al Aqah in Fujairah. It was our first time there after our neighbours recommended it. I’m all up for staying in the UAE for holidays as there’s so much to discover, and Al Aqah didn’t disappoint. There really is something for the whole family, starting with the fab pools and the kids’ clubs, which kept our little ones entertained, to all the water sports – the resort has every shape of inflatable you can imagine!

We opted for an all-inclusive package, which I highly recommend; kids can have ice creams and milkshakes throughout the day, and the restaurants offer food from all over the world, including India, Italy and Mexico. My favourite restaurant was Gonu, which served up one of the best steaks I’ve tried alongside stunning sea and mountain views. INFO: All-inclusive packages cost from Dhs1,000 net for two persons with access to pool and beach; Dibba Road, Fujairah, 09 244 9000, lemeridien-alaqah.com
