Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy cover and the entire set of revealing pictures from her shoot for the men’s magazine leaked online this weekend (7 December to 9 December 2011), and now publisher Hugh Hefner is bumping up the release of the January/February 2012 issue featuring it.
Lindsay posed nude for the photographs, which were inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and was paid $1 million for the shoot. In the pictures, the actress, wearing just a pair of high heels, is shown posing on a red couch and reclining on a bed.
The Mean Girls star had planned to give fans a sneak peek of the images during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on 15 December, but the pics leaked before that.
Hefner said he wasn’t bothered by the leak, insisting the Lindsay Lohan issue would be “be a true Collector's Edition". But he is trying to fight the potential loss in sales by rush-releasing the January/February edition of the magazine.
The Playboy publisher posted on his Twitter page, "Because of the interest and the Internet leak, we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early."
The exact release date has not been announced yet.
