Lindsay Lohan's rehab drama continues... her father now wants her to be transferred to a rehab facility in Florida. Michael Lohan thinks LiLo, 26, who is more than three weeks into her 90-days of court-ordered treatment - is wasting her time at the Betty Ford clinic in Rancho Mirage, California, because she has already completed the same 12-step program twice before and it failed.

He told gossip website TMZ.com after touching down at LAX from New York: "I want to take care of some things with the court and get her transferred. She's at Betty Ford, I think it's only going to be temporary with regard to recovery, but if she goes to the Lukens Institute, where I want her to go, it's going to be permanent and I'll stake everything on it. I know she'll get better if she goes there."

Asked if he thinks Lindsay needs to leave Betty Ford as soon as possible, he added: "Absolutely or she'll repeat the same program three times in a row. It's a 12-step program, and at least at Lukens it's extended care and it's one-on-one. It's a very, very high level of treatment."

Michael admitted there are some comparisons between his daughter and troubled starlet Amanda Bynes, who was charged with attempted evidence tampering, reckless endangerment and drug possession in court on Friday (24 May).

And he warned her concerned parents Lynn and Rick that he believes she would benefit more from going to rehab instead of a psychiatric hospital.

He said: "Anyone with an addiction is not doing well. I'm happy that Lindsay's in treatment, I really think that Amanda should be. The fact that her parents want her in a mental hospital, I don't really think that's a good idea. I believe she needs treatment too but she needs trauma therapy. There is something that her addiction is based on, there is something that is making her use and I don't know what that is. A specialist can do that but I don't think she is going to find that in a psychiatric hospital. There is no way."

"I pray for Amanda's family. I am very proud of Lindsay and I'm happy the way the whole family has surrounded for her."
