Lindsay Lohan Set to Stay in London
Actress Lindsay Lohan is planning to spend another year living in London after crediting her time in the city with helping her to "grow up".
The Mean Girls star relocated to the UK capital over the summer as she prepared to make her West End debut in David Mamet play Speed-the-Plow.
She wrapped up her stage stint last month and had been rumoured to be heading back to her native New York, where she has reportedly rented a $2 million (Dhs7.35m) luxury apartment with her model sister, Ali, but it appears she won't be spending much time in the new pad after all.
In a new interview with Britain's The Guardian newspaper, she admits her time in London has helped her get her life back on track after her latest stint in rehab following years of wild antics and legal troubles, and she is keen to extend her stay by another year so she can build up her theatre resume.
She says, "I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else."
Lohan previously hinted that she was already plotting a role in another Mamet production, Oleanna, which was last seen on Broadway in 2009.
Meanwhile, Lohan has vowed never to return to live in Los Angeles, blaming the constant gossiping and party lifestyle for her previous troubles, adding to The Guardian, "I won't live again in LA."
"My friends tell me s**t when they come over I don't want to hear. I don't even know who got married and who got pregnant. You turn on the news in LA and it is all gossip about people. All the stuff that is going on in the world right now and this gossip is the news?"
