Lindsay Lohan let her hair down with singer Rita Ora to celebrate the final performance of her West End play, Speed the Plow. In a pic posted to her Instagram account, the actress cosied up to Ora while showing off some serious bling, with the caption, “#speedtheplow @crowsnestjewels @ritaora love and diamonds. happiness and health”.
In the two-month London revival of David Mamet’s play, the 28-year-old star had been treading the boards as Karen, a sassy secretary. While Lohan’s performance had a shaky start when she forgot her lines, and garnered mixed reviews from the critics, the actress seemed unfazed as she thanked the director, cast and crew from the Playhouse Theatre. She also posted a message to her recent mentor Oprah Winfrey, saying, “And so it is. ONE MAMET DOWN!!! #lindsayposner #davidmamet thank you all for your support. Bless. thank you @oprah for being a part of this process and happiness ❤”
Sources say that Lohan is now organising a move back to the US, with plans to settle in New York. “She never intended on staying in London forever... She does love it there and has made some great friends in London, but NYC will always be her home," a source said, adding, "She wants to be around her family and close friends.”
Next year, Lohan has a number of projects in the pipeline, including movie roles in Life Travellers, Six Gun Dead and Soul Carriers. The star also hinted on social media that she might be lined up for another Mamet production, Oleanna, saying “Next stop. 1 year #OLEANNA”. Watch this space…
