Lindsay Lohan Launching New Menswear Line
Not to be deterred by her ill-fated venture into designer leggings, Lindsay Lohan is set to launch a new fashion collection for US brand, Civil Clothing. Some might say the new menswear collection is cashing in on the wild antics of the star’s trouble past, with the name of the range, My Addiction, sure to set tongues wagging.
The Mean Girls star, who has previously faced a very public battle with alcohol and drug problems, has signed on to front the new collection, which has been designed exclusively for US youth retail store PacSun.
Promotional photos obtained by TMZ.com show the starlet modelling an oversized baseball-style jersey, featuring the word 'Civil' across the chest, while another bears her last name on her back, above the number 86, a reference to the year she was born.
Pieces from the range start at $29.95 (Dhs110).
Lohan is no stranger to the fashion industry – she previously served as the face of German fashion designer Philipp Plein's couture line and she also launched her own 6126 clothing brand in 2008. In 2013, the star was sued for $5 million (Dhs18.3m) by the apparel manufacturer that had partnered with 6126, who claimed that the actress’ bad reputation had meant it was nearly impossible to sell her clothing line.
