Lindsay Lohan Could Be in Big Trouble
Lindsay Lohan is allegedly facing bankruptcy after failing to pay the rent on her $4.3m London flat, which is located in Knightsbridge.
According to reports, the lawyers for the landlord sent legal papers to Lohan, demanding payment of six months of overdue rent, which has amounted to $95,000, and if she fails to pay, they may file for her bankruptcy in November, the Mail Online claims.
It is said that Lindsay is the legal tenant given that her name is on the one-year tenancy contract, which she shared with her ex-fiancé, Egor Tarabasov. The Russian property tycoon reportedly paid a three-month deposit upfront in full.
The couple, who called off their engagement in July after a violent row, agreed to split the $3,700 a week rent, but Tarabasov claims Lohan never paid her share.
It’s claimed that she stayed in the flat for a few days in September, when she was filming for Jamie Oliver’s cookery show.
Adding to her legal drama, her ex-fiancé is also claiming the Mean Girls star took up to $29,000 worth of his belongings from the flat. He sent an inventory to his lawyers for the missing items, which includes a Rolex watch, a Luc Waring painting, a diamond-studded ring and designer clothing.
Lindsay’s representative has declined to comment on these allegations.
