Lindsay Lohan breaks her silence
LiLolooks like she could be sent straight back behind bars after being charged with the theft of a bespoke necklace. But after hear court date last week it seems Lindsay has had enough of being in the spotlight.
“Was on the phone with my sister and this movie Greenberg is on," she tweeted. "I heard my voice which was odd- and Rhys Ifans is watching Just My Luck in the movie- made me laugh..I just want to be on set again, and left alone to just work! FYI- I would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal... also, what I wear to court shouldn’t be front page news. It's just absurd. god bless xox."
Despite being pictured red-handed with the stolen goods, the troubled actress insists it was on “loan” and blames her stylist for failing to return the product – “I didn’t have any part in the non-returning on time.”
It’s reported the store owners of Kamoiffe Company gave the police surveillance tapes of Lindsay trying on the necklace and photos of her wearing the one-of-a-kind necklace (worth Dhs9,175) a week later.
Although the piece was eventually returned to the police – after they threatened the actress with a search warrant – the 24-year-old still faces the possibility of three years jail time unless she’s proven innocent.
