Billy Ray Cyrus delighted the crowd at the 2019 CMA Fest by welcoming Lil Nas X and Keith Urban to the stage for a rendition of Old Town Road.
The country music veteran was nearing the end of his performance at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday when he launched into his remix of the rapper's viral hit, and brought Lil Nas X out to join him.
The audience was given another big surprise moments later as Urban also strolled out onstage, banjo in hand, to put his twist on the chart smash with a few added instrumental improvisations, reports Billboard.
Cyrus took to Instagram after the gig and shared a photo of the unlikely trio mid-performance, captioning it, "Pure magic! Thank you #CMAFest! @keithurban there is a reason that you are entertainer of the year. Loved havin (sic) you on #OTR with us! @lilnasx @cma".
Urban took home the prestigious Entertainer of the Year honour at the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards back in April.
