We've all had that cringey phase where our fashion sense was nowhere to be found. Oh, you know, pattern on patterns, tie-dye t-shirts, and low-waisted jeans.
Pretty much everyone can relate to some time in their life that their style was a little...off.
One Direction member, Liam Payne, confessed that his biggest fashion regret was his "rapper gold chain" phase.
He spoke about this during an interview with magazine Haute Living, saying that, unlike every normal person, his style mishaps were seen and witnessed by everyone.
"Mine were in front of everyone! You can’t get rid of those pictures," he said.
His top regret was wearing rapper gold chains, those thick, gold blings that grazed the runway back in the day.
"I think my biggest fashion mistake, even though I really enjoyed it at the time, was my rapper gold chains phase, which was quite fun. I enjoyed it for what it was. But it wasn’t for me!” Liam laughed.
"I think the most important part of it is dressing for what suits you. Push your boundaries, but I overdid it. I went a little bit too far with it.”
To be fair, though, he didn't even look that bad. But then again, he's Liam Payne so that could be the reason.
The 25-year-old also talked about the evolution of his style, saying he went "full circle" after becoming a celebrity.
"I actually think my style has gone full circle to when I first started to learn about clothes, right as the band started," he said.
He even gave a few fashion advice; "...I went on a little journey and tried out a bunch of stuff, which I think is really important, and people should definitely do and go experience, but just don’t take loads of pictures like I did because that’s just really awkward.”
