Liam Gallagher's Band Beady Eye Has Split
A sad announcement for fans of Liam Gallagher, as the singer has announced that his band, Beady Eye, has split. The singer announced the shock news on Saturday in a post on Twitter.com, writing, "Beady Eye are no longer. Thanks for all your support. LGx."
Guitarist Andy Bell confirmed the split on his Twitter page, writing, "Thanks to all the Beady Eye fans. I had a blast. See you on the other side. Big Love Andy B X."
Gallagher formed the band from the ashes of Oasis after that group broke up in acrimony in 2009. He was joined by his Oasis bandmates Bell, Gem Archer and drummer Chris Sharrock. His brother, Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher, went on to form a new group, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
The news of Beady Eye's demise will fuel fans' hopes of an Oasis revival, despite constant denials from Noel that a planned reunion is in the pipeline. But one can hope, right?
