Porcini Chef Daniele Vacca will be sharing the secrets to making perfect northern Italian cuisine

Ever wanted to learn how to cook gourmet Italian dishes that are so good your dinner guests will be scraping the plate? Well, here’s your chance!

Porcini, the swish Mediterranean restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Doha, is offering home cooks a culinary tour through Italy starting from this September, giving you the opportunity to learn how to prepare a range of dishes to wow at your next dinner party.

Porcini Chef Daniele Vacca will kick off the ‘tour’ on Saturday 28 September with a class on cuisine from Piedmont, a region in northern Italy renowned for its blend of traditional Italian and French cuisine, its huge range of amazing cheeses and fabulous slow cooking. The region is also well known as one of Italy's best vineyards and famous for the immense variety of antipasti. 

The classes continue in October with an introduction to dishes from Puglia in southern Italy, known for its fish and seafood, especially oysters and mussels, as well as traditional pasta dishes featuring orecchiette-style pasta. All sessions include lunch and you get a dinner as well if you book multiple classes.

If cooking’s not your thing but you want to savour the flavours of Italy, then pop into Porcini this month for a four course dinner featuring the best of Piedmont for QR320 per person, with 25 per cent  discount on recommended vino.Bellissimo!
